Dear VLBIers,
Here is an initial plan for the disk logistics for the November VLBI
session. Comments welcome from those who care about such things.
Cheers, Steven
I will ship the following disks to each telescope, hopefully by the
end of next week. I will ship all ATCA/Mopra disks to Narrabri and
arrange distribution of the Mopra disks from there. I will ship all
Hobart/Ceduna disks to Hobart and whoever is going to Ceduna can take
the Ceduna disks with them. Tasmanians, when will you leave to travel
to Ceduna i.e. when do I have to have the Ceduna disks in Hobart?
Disks for Tidbinbilla are already at the telescope.
The total volume of disk space being allocated is ~52 TB. This will
support the 5 disk-based experiments currently in the version 2.0
schedule for November: V189a, V192a, V190e, V215a, and V190d.
ATCA
2 x (7 x 180 GB Xraid) [P1-7; P8-14]
3 x (7 x 500 GB Xraid) [D1-7; V001, A1-7; V001, B1-7]
1 x (4 x 400 GB IDE)
Mopra
2 x (7 x 180 GB Xraid) [PAT1-7; P8-14]
3 x (7 x 500 GB Xraid) [D8-14; V002, A1-7; V002, B1-7]
1 x (4 x 400 GB IDE)
Parkes
2 x (7 x 180 GB Xraid) [W1-7; W8-14]
3 x (7 x 500 GB Xraid) [K1-7; K8-14; X1-7]
1 x (4 x 400 GB IDE)
Hobart
2 x (7 x 500 GB Xraid) [Ho1, 1-7; X8-14]
Tidbinbilla
2 x (7 x 500 GB Xraid) [V004, A1-7; SWIN1,1-7]
Ceduna
1 x (4 x 400 GB IDE)
The breakdown of disks across the various experiments are as follows
(with notes). This will all be transferred to the wiki pages in more
detail once the pages are available:
