Hi all,
just to let you know, the AVO (Astrophysical Virtual Observatory,
aka Euro-VO, *not* Aus-VO) have made their science demo available
for download on their website. For those who want to see what
a "big" VO project is up to, I recommend at least visiting the
web site:
http://www.euro-vo.org/twiki/bin/view/Avo/SwgDownload
and if you have some time, download the demo (it is a Java
application so you need a reasonably up-to-date Java
installation) and run it. Walk-through notes are provided
for extragalactic and galactic science cases seperately.
There is no support from AVO for using this software, however
feel free to contact me with any feedback, so I can provide
"one-off" feedback to the AVO demo team.
- David.
