MRO Support Facility
CSIRO's office in Geraldton is called the MRO Support Facility (MSF). The staff based at the MSF provide critical administrative and project management support to the development and operation of the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory (MRO), 370km to the northeast of Geraldton.
The MSF will provide remote operations services for CSIRO's Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) telescope and other international projects under construction at the MRO site, as well as office space for technical, maintenance and research staff. It will also feature a dedicated room for Geraldton-based researchers who have been awarded computing time on supercomputers at iVEC's Pawsey Centre in Perth.
Location
The MRO Support Facility (MSF) is located within the Geraldton Universities Centre complex, 33 Onslow Street, Geraldton, WA.
The headquarters of CASS Geraldton were previously located at the Department of Agriculture Agriculture & Food, Western Australia building at 20 Gregory Street.
The postal address and contact phone numbers remain unchanged. See the Visitors Guide to the MRO Support Facility for further information on visiting CSIRO's Geraldton site.
