Introduction
The Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory Support Facility (MSF) is located in Geraldton, Western Australia. It is operated by CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science (CASS) to support the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory (MRO).
Geraldton is located approximately 420 kilometres (approx 5.5 hrs drive) north of Perth on the Brand Highway. Alternatively, SkyWest Airlines fly into Geraldton Airport from Perth multiple times daily, the flight time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
Geraldton is located on the south west coast of Western Australia at Latitude 28.8ТАS and a Longitude 114.6ТА E. It has a population of 27,420. It is the fourth largest city in Western Australia.
Geraldton is one of Western Australia's popular tourist destinations due to its high annual average of warm sunny days (it is known as Sun City) and its idyllic beach and coastal location. Geraldton is an important centre for mining, fishing, farming and tourism.

- The nearest cross street is Shenton Street, which intersects the Brand Highway and Cathedral Avenue.
- Follow the signs towards the Regional Hospital.
- Turn between the Lighthouse Church and the Geraldton Regional Hospital.
- The MSF is next door to the Geraldton University Centre.
Site Information
All visitors to the MSF are required to sign in at the CSIRO MSF Reception Desk. Operating hours for this facility are strictly between 08:00 and 17:00.
