1. You are warmly invited to the next Cluster event is in Brisbane: `The SKA Industry Cluster Initiative ­ Australian Industry Capabilities & Project Opportunities' ­ hosted by Boeing on Tuesday 16 May. The agenda and invitation are attached ­ please ensure you RSVP if you are attending.

2. SKA-related public seminars ­ there are 3 in WA this month and are open to all: Wednesday 3 May: Dr Peter Hall, International SKA Project Engineer will speak on "The Square Kilometre Array Radio Telescope: Engineering an International Megascience Project", 3.30pm in the Auditorium of the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC) Technology Park (West), near cnr Hayman Road and Kent Streets, Bentley Wednesday 10 May: Prof Russ Taylor, from the Department of Astronomy, University of Calgary will speak on "Polarimetric Observations of the Galaxy: Steps to The Magnetic Universe" also at 3.30pm in the same venue as above. Australian SKA Planning office ­ Newsletter updates Newsletter #5 (March 2006) is available for download from www.atnf.csiro.au/news/asponewsletter/ASPOnewsletter5.pdf This issue includes update on the radio quiet zone at Mileura and news on Swinburne University of Technology and New Zealand's SKA-related projects. Please feel free to distribute copies to colleagues who you think may be interested in Australian SKA developments. Newsletter #6 will be available in the next few days. 4. Australia Telescope Compact Array Open Day ­ Narrabri, 29 July 2006 Advance notice ­ there will be a public open day of the Paul Wild Observatory on Saturday 29 July: more details to follow.
