    Dear MM-wkshp SOC,

Here are some more suggested speakers. I have no personal knowledge of
these guys so please chime in with any comments. I think the bar needs to
be quite high for inviting people from Europe, since it's expensive and
chances of success are slim. But I think the Japanese guys might merit
serious consideration for the second round.

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

I have just realized that I didn't get back to you re suggested speakers
for the mm workshop. I have dealt with European scientists mostly in this
area, and there are a few who impressed me. One of the best of the crop
is Chris Henkel of MPIfR, who is very knowledgeable, has a great
attitude towards students, and is a very enthusiastic guy. For LMC work
Arto Heikkila is an expert - he's at Onsala (I think). He did a great PhD
thesis (I was his examiner!). And for theory, John Black of Onsala takes
a lot of beating. There's also a Brit who is good in the theoretical area
    - Tom Millar. I don't know him but he has featured in some of the
collaborative work I've done with the MPIfR group. A couple of good
Japanese high-frequency people are Ohishi and Hasegawa.

    You DID ask me!!!!

    Cheers.....j
