(click image to view & discuss)	Side-by-side Both scopes mounted on a Losmandy dual side-by-side (DSBS) plate.  If you do this, be aware that balance is difficult if the two scopes are vastly different in weight (as in this case).  I never considered this, but now I balance each scope individually on the DSBS and then the whole DSBS.  I can demonstrate this, if anyone is interested. (click image to view & discuss)	The "Observatory" Begins Okay, so it's not an observatory; it's just a pier.  But, hey, I've got to name it something, and "Plum Pier" doesn't sound as good.  In my wife's family, it's always hurry up (they build custom houses for a living).  Here's the sonotube for the pier waiting for the pour, which is scheduled to be done as an "extra" pour after pouring a slab for one of the houses being built.  Note the line of stakes marking north.  I had 6-7 spaced ~40 feet apart.  (You need to have them far from the pier because the truck is likely to knock them over.)  Our concrete guy was intensly curious about what this was for...
