Belgium's
National Airport is situated in Brussels-Zaventem, only 45 minutes
away from Ghent, and has flights from over 70 international
destinations, operated by more than 140 international and regional
airline companies. From there, there is one direct train to Ghent's
Sint-Pieters station.

Thanks
to its central location in Flanders, and just half an hour away from
Brussels Midi train station, Ghent is very easily accessible by train
from all Belgian and European cities. The high-speed trains, Eurostar
and Thalys, take you to Ghent in only 2 hours from Paris and in about
3 hours from London, Amsterdam and Cologne. Thalys trains from Paris
will bring you directly to Ghent Sint-Pieters. The English Eurostar
calls at Brussels Midi Station, assuring an excellent connection with
Ghent.

Ghent
is centrally located at the intersection of 2 major European
highways: the E17 connects Northern Europe with the Southern
countries and the E40 goes from the North Sea up to Eastern Europe.
When
arriving in Ghent, remember that the inner city is traffic free - no
cars allowed. Numerous car parks are available for visitors. When
entering the city, watch for signs indicating "Car Park Route"
or "P-route" to direct you to one of these car parks. We
strongly recommend to visit the City of Ghent mobility website.

to reach the conference centre from the train station
Gent-Sint-Pieters:
- From the train
station, take tram number 1, 10, 11 or 12
- Get off at stop
“Korenmarkt” (about 10 min)
- Cross the river via
the bridge, turn around the Sint-Michiels church. Het
Pand is next to the church.

to reach the hotel from the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters:
- Take tram number 22
(direction Gentbrugge DC) and get off at the stop “Lippensplein” (about
10 min)

How
to reach Het Pand from the hotel:
The
conference centre is within walking distance from the hotel (~10min).
- Follow the
Vlaanderenstraat in NW direction and continue along the Limburgstraat
and the Emile Braunplein until you reach the Korenmarkt.
- Cross the river via
the bridge, turn around the Sint-Michiels church. Het Pand is next to
the church.
Alternatively, one
can take the tram:
- Walk down the
Vlaanderenstraat in the SE direction to the Woodrow Wilsonplein (100m).
- Take tram number 4
(direction Moscou) and get off at the stop "Korenmarkt".
- Cross the river via
the bridge, turn around the Sint-Michiels church. Het Pand is next to
the church.

to reach the hotel from the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters:
- Take bus number 58
(direction Eeklo-Brugge) or bus number 55 (direction Zelzate) and get
off at the stop “Reep” (about 15 min)

the Sint-Baafs cathedral via the Bisdomkaai and the Maaseikstraat.
- Continue towards the
