The Armagh Planetarium website has been enabled to use BrowseAloud software. BrowseAloud is a computer program that reads aloud all website content including PDF and MS Word documents. As you move the cursor over words, they are spoken aloud. Browsealoud software is free to download.

Speech enabling our web site provides an additional way of accessing content for people who find it hard to read. This includes those with dyslexia or learning difficulties, those for whom English is not their first language, or anyone with a mild visual impairment.

BrowseAloud is free to download and users have control over the voice, word pronunciations and speech highlighting.

Changing Website Colours in Browsers

Making Text Larger in Your Browser by Magnifying the Screen

See the following instructions on how to increase the size of the text on any web page you are viewing.

In Internet Explorer 7:

    тАв Press ' Ctrl ' and ' + ' to increase the text size, ' Ctrl ' and ' - '       to decrease the text size. ' Ctrl ' and ' 0 ' returns you to the       default size.

In Mozilla Firefox 3.0.8:

    тАв Press ' Ctrl ' and ' + ' to increase the text size, ' Ctrl ' and ' - '       to decrease the text size. ' Ctrl ' and ' 0 ' returns you to the       default size.
