Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut is an international educational challenge focusing on fitness and nutrition encouraging students to “train like an astronaut.”
The six week challenge which runs from January-March 2014, uses the excitement of space exploration and astronaut training to challenge, inspire, and educate kids to set physical €нfitness goals and to practice physical €нfitness and proper nutrition.
Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut physical activities are modelled after the real-life training that astronauts do to prepare for exploring space. The activities were developed collaboratively with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), scientists, and €нfitness professionals who work directly with astronauts.
This has been designed for 8-12 year olds, however the challenge is for anyone and everyone who is curious about space exploration and what it takes to be an astronaut.
