Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut is an international educational challenge focusing on fitness and nutrition encouraging students to “train like an astronaut.”
The six week challenge which runs from January-March 2014, uses the excitement of space exploration and astronaut training to challenge, inspire, and educate kids to set physical ˆífitness goals and to practice physical ˆífitness and proper nutrition.
Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut physical activities are modelled after the real-life training that astronauts do to prepare for exploring space. The activities were developed collaboratively with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), scientists, and ˆífitness professionals who work directly with astronauts.
This has been designed for 8-12 year olds, however the challenge is for anyone and everyone who is curious about space exploration and what it takes to be an astronaut.
How can I take part?
