If youòÀÙve ever looked up at a sky full of stars and wondered just what else is out there then you might want to come to Ballyhackamore Public Library on 23 March 2015.
This image shows the Milky Way arching above the ESO 1-metre Schmidt Telescope at the La Silla observatory. La Silla is located on the outskirts of the Chilean Atacama Desert, 600 km north of Santiago de Chile and at an altitude of 2400 metres. Set so far from light pollution the site has one of the darkest night skies on Earth.

The library will be hosting me for a public talk suitable for ages 10 to adult on the amazing planets, stars and galaxies which are scattered across the cosmos. My presentation is called WhatòÀÙs Out There? ˆàI will start by introducing the Moon, Sun, planets, what they are, where you can find them in the sky and more, before moving on to cover the entire rest of the Universe! I hope it will be a lot of fun, I am really looking forward to it. The talk is part of the PlanetariumòÀÙs contribution to BBC Stargazing Live 2015.
