ARCTIC Tech-o-con discussion
Attending: Bill, Joe, Mark, Alysha, Alaina, Russell, Suzanne, John Wilson, John Holtzman, Fritz, Conor

- Integration travel plans -- Joe · The dewar looks good for integration. Will take to Leach Thursday afternoon.
Have ccd shipped there.

- Optics -- Joe · Nutech wants some clarification on our design. They won't send a quote based on
what we gave them. Joe will send them a new drawing with the info they need.

· Currently, Joe wants feedback on the quotes we do have. · Does anyone know about Cosmo's references and experience? They want to work
with us very badly.

· Nutech would provide coating QE curves. The other two need clarification on what
they will provide for QE.

- CCD test plans · Bill would like feedback from Holtzman and Wilson about the type of tests ordata
we need. Tuning etc, other than noise.

· We will do-- - Linearity - Darks - Pixel map - Uniformity - Any quadrants holding a charge? - Check temp/regulation in lab and in the dome, for winter and spring - Readout modes -- do all tests in all modes and all binning options. · Discussion between Joe, Holtzman, and Wilson about the proposed shutter testing - Joe wants to test then an LED screen and no shutter. Is that ok?

- We can't get real flat fields until we are on the telescope. What about an
integrating sphere? What aperture is the one we have? Will we use a diffuser and a dark slide?

- There are no immediate objections to trying it Joe's way.
