Larry Fiscelli/UC, French Leger and Steve Bastian (both FNL) (and a seamster in Alamogordo) fabricated and installed the light baffle on Tuesday and finished it up on Wednesday--the weather was favorable, albeit windy.
The completed installation, as well as the cover over the secondary optics system.
Close look at installation. Fabric is stretched around corner frames mounted on telescope cell while tightened and stabilized using bungee cords.
(L-R)Matt Newcomb, Adrian Pope, Bob Nichol, and Aronne Merrelli (all from Carnegie Mellon) take a break to admire the light baffle during their work on the spectrograph. We keep French around to provide the comic relief.
Robert Lupton/PU and Scott Burles/UC are stuck working inside. It's probably better for their complexions.
