Training and Plug Plate Storage: February 22, 2000

The photo to the right is a rarity: all the SDSS observers in one room at one time. For those of you who don't know each other, from left to right: Jim Annis/Software Trainer, Dan Long, Jon Brinkmann/sub-Observer, Steph Snedden, Ellyne Kinney, Atsuko Kleinman, Jeff Hayes, and Scot Kleinman.

Software training was interrupted to help Lynne Gonzalez, John Briggs, and French roll-over the new plug plate storage bin.

There are certainly a lot of smiling faces in the group. Perhpas that light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little brighter. Or maybe the software is so complex they're just happy to be out of the room!

Here are two quick shots (above) of the cartridges in residence at APO. Not all nine are on the rack and it was snowing outside, so we couldn't open the outer door. More photos later.
