Motion Controls and Fiducial System: November 11, 1998

Charlie Briegel, Bill Boroski, and Steve Bastian started work on the fiducial and motion systems. Bill Nagel is also on site to review the systems and help in these efforts.

Friction has caused an evaluation of the cone bearing. Here the ring seal is removed.

The ring is raised and the bearing exposed.

The lubrication protecting the bearings is being drained. Further evaluation continues.
