Instrument Positions on Mirror
Cell
The following instrument positions
are supported by the TCC, but not necessarily by a given
telescope:
PF1 = prime focus (in place of the
secondary mirror)
CA1 = Cassegraine focus (in place of the
tertiary miror)
Tertiary mirror positions
BCx = bent Cassegraine foci at top
and bottom of mirror cell; (no mounting provisions at 2)
NAx = Nasmyth foci (on the
forks)
(Echelle permanently mounted at
1)
TRx = foci on the "truncated" corners of
the mirror cell; (no mounting provisions at 3 and 4)
Quaternary position
SKx = foci on the front surface of
the mirror cell
MBx = foci on the back surface of the
mirror cell
