You must bring your own personal food and beverage. A small convenience store is available in Cloudcroft; full-service grocery stores are available in Alamogordo, NM.
A rental car is recommended for transportation from any regional airport to Apache Point Observatory in Sunspot, NM.
An airport shuttle operates between Alamogordo, NM and El Paso, TX International Airport. Contact Alamo-El Paso Shuttle, (800) 872-2701 (local 575-437-1472) for current schedule or to make reservations; they accept USD cash.

The highways across the Tularosa Basin, to the south and west of APO, are subject to closure for military exercises and testing.

Bedrooms Room #1/Dorm A Room #2 and #3/Dorm A Dorm B: These are sleeping suites - each with
two separate bedrooms and a non-private vanity area and shared bathroom and shower. Rooms #5, #6, and #9/Dorm B Rooms #4, #7 and #8/Dorm B Kitchens and Washer/Dryers For your personal use kitchen facilities and designated
food storage areas are available in Dorm B and the Ops building kitchen. Washer
and dryer are located in Dorm B. The Corona Cafe at the National Solar Observatory (one
mile from site) is available to APO users and visitors for lunch during weekdays
only. Please notify Corona Cafe at (575) 434-7070 to make reservations prior to your arrival. The cafe is open for lunch 11:30am - 12:30pm. To accommodate
NSO staff, APO personnel generally eat between 12pm - 12:30pm. If you have suggestions or comments about this form
