GrIm II Quick Information
GrIm II was been decommised April 21, 2005.
GrIm II will NO longer available for use.
- CCD is a NICMOS 3 HgCdTe Focal Plane Array (FPS) 256x256 CCD
- CCD pixel size = 40µm
- CCD gain = 4.73 e-/ADU ±0.2 (K.Gloria measured in 1994: 4.56 e- / ADU (see plot here)
- CCD read noise = 110 e- / pixel ±20
- Quantum Effeciency ~70%
- Dark Current: <1 e- / second
- Pixel scale = 0.48"/pixel @ f/5 (120 arcsec FOV), 0.24"/pixel @ f/10 (60 arcsec FOV), 0.11"/pixel @ f/20 (30 arcsec FOV) all binned 1x1
- Full well depth: 150k e-
- Linear up to 28k, Saturation at 32K
- Installed filters (User selectable): J(1.25u), H(1.65u), K(2.20), Steam(1.99) ,H2(2.122), Br(2.166), CO Cont(2.22), CO Band(2.36), He I(1.0829, Pa(1.0930), O II(1.236), Pa(1.2823), [FE II](1.6471), H2(2.2485), CO(2.2973), Mauna Kea K(2.1235), Short K(2.155), Continuum K(2.2597), K dark(2.27-2.43), Narrow Cont(1.580), Methane(1.700)
