A hands-on workshop for teachers in grades 3­9 and those who work with them

NGSS and the Solar System
Saturday and Sunday, August 2­3, 2014, 8:30 am­5:00 pm
Hyatt-Regency Hotel, Burlingame, California Registration fee for the two day workshop: $80 Early Bird Rate (through July 4) $120 Onsite Registration (August 2) * Some scholarships are available for California teachers. * * Academic credit will be available * All participants receive a collection of over 100 activities published in the Universe at Your Fingertips 2.0 DVD, a $30 value.

Workshop Content Includes:
· Classroom tested, inquiry-rich activities designed to help students learn the processes of science through the study of the solar system. · Explicit alignment to the NGSS cross cutting theme of Scale, Proportion and Quantity and the practices of Developing and Using Models and Engaging in Argument from Evidence. · Connections to Literacy and the Common Core.
