As
part of its program to assist instructors of astronomy at all levels,
the ASP is establishing a network of those who teach introductory
astronomy at colleges where a significant research effort is not
necessarily expected of faculty. Such institutions include community
colleges, some liberal arts colleges, some campuses of state universities,
and university extenstion divisions.
We
are beginning by surveying such instructors, assembling a mailing
list, and holding occasional meetings where issues of mutual interest
can be discussed.
