receives Professor of the Year Award
In
recognition of his popular Introductory to Astronomy class at the
University of California, Berkeley, professor Alex Filippenko, received
this year's Professor of the Year award sponsored by The Carnegie
Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and administered by the
Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The award
acknowledges "outstanding professors for their dedication to
teaching, commitment to students and innovative instructional methods."
