Being that the last shuttle mission is landing tomorrow, I took my son out for one last look of them flying together.

Sure enough the Space Shuttle was quite bright and about two minutes ahead of the ISS which was a bright -4 as predicted by...

With our 20x binoculars we really could not tell much about the shape of what we think was the shuttle. Neither could we tell if the ISS was the ISS until it passed a star which was crisp and small while the ISS was large and lumpy. This is what I expect the solar components to look like.

Oh to have a telescope that can track this. Oh well maybe next time.

Thank you Shuttle Program... It has been a nice ride since high school when I watch the first launch.

John
