Hi all:

Iґm new in this forum so I say hello to everyone.

I have my first question, and sorry for my english, but Iґm from Spain and itґs not my home language.

I recentely purchased a Celestron C.925 sct, normal starbright coatings, and although I know a corrector lens MUST NOT be cleaned unless is full of dirt, it had some dust, so being a new scope, I wanted to have it "perfect" (Iґm such obsesive :=)), so I decided to first remove dust using an ear swinge and once done, I used a BAADER PLANETARIUM MICROFIBER "WONDER CLOTH", and with just my breath as a "distilled water source", and with very light pressure, cleaned it. Now, the corrector lens looks very clean and has no sleeks nor scratches, but when looking from a certain angle, I can see in a same area violet-blue patches, and purple-reddish ones. My question is: Did I damaged the coatings or one of the layers? As I know, the coatings on celestron sctґs a single ones, not multilayers.

greetings from Pedro-Rapaz
