I've been quite successful in wiping gently with a very slightly damp paper towel right after pulling the tool from the glass. The glass also needs to be damp (a film of water but not enough to flow, just like what it looks like when a mirror starts grabbing to the lap) to do this right. Don't use any real pressure as this will erode the glass.
Letting the CeO dry on the glass will tend to make it adhere somewhat to the glass and things become difficult afterwords.
I also use the inside of my forearm to wipe smaller pieces of glass that will fully wipe with the soft skin of the inside of the forearm. One firm press and wipe and the forearm is almost as good as a soft chamios.
