Praise: | Not Forgotten- A great Craftsman Kenneth Novak Kenneth F. Novak, 63, Ladysmith, died Aug. 5, 2004, at home. He was born on May 29, 1941, at Ladysmith, the son of Frank and Margaret Novak. He lived in Chicago from 1960-1971, and graduated from DePaul University, Chicago, Ill. He was not married. He came to Rusk County in 1971. While in Chicago, Ken developed a keen interest in astronomy which led him to develop his own business as a manufacturer of telescope parts. He was proud of his yard and enjoyed planting trees and flowers. He was an avid photographer and loved the outdoors as his main focus. He belonged to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Survivors include a brother Tom (Merrilee) of Waterville, Minn., a sister, Susan (Dick) Nerbun of Cumberland; a nephew, Andrew (Vanessa) Nerbun of Shorewood, Wis., and nieces, Cindy Nerbun of Houston, Texas, and Karen Nerbun of Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Dick Brockbank officiating and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home. |

Praise: | While he had no web site you could get a printed catalog and order over the phone and get it promptly. His products were great. His untimely death ended the business and he will be missed. |

Neutral: | More of a question, really. Is Kenneth Novak and Company still in business? Several weeks ago I ordered two sets of spider / secondary mirror holder. As yet, I have not received them, nor have I received comunication from the company. For the past four days I have tried telephoning only to be met with no answer. |

Praise: | Kenneth Novak has been around for a large number of years. He and his wife are very responsive on the phone and, while the products are of fair age in their design, the stuff is easily available with a phone call. I do suggest that you do get a catalog (a simple few page photocopied document) before ordering as it may make the phone calls a bit simpler. It would be nice for somebody to take over the product line and get it on the web although Mr. Novak may in his old age still get there. |

Complaint: | Nothing to show in the way of product? No email address or anything other than mailing address?? Do they not sell to individuals? |

Neutral: | Lack of website, only an address and phone number are listed. Nothing really wrong with that but a website would be to the company's advantage as well as everyone else. |
