Hubble's champion

Steven Beckwith talks about the Hubble Space Telescope's greatest success — and its greatest challenge.
Steven Beckwith has been director of the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) since 1998. As the man at the helm of STScI, Beckwith is the person ultimately responsible for all data from the Hubble Space Telescope. Last year, Beckwith announced he will be stepping down from the post in September 2005, citing personal reasons for his decision.
