The North America Nebula is a celestial continent embedded inside another continent.

This November, go out after sunset and look in the western sky for Deneb, the Alpha (α) star of Cygnus the Swan. If you’re under dark skies with the Milky Way blazing, look for the patch of light that contains the emission nebula NGC 7000, more commonly known as the North America Nebula.
