June 2007: When watching celestial objects, sometimes it's best to stare directly, while other times you get better through averted vision.
Do you look into people's eyes when you talk to them? Our culture neither requires nor condemns this etiquette. Some folks squirm if you gaze into their pupils. For others, failure to "look them in the eye" means you're hiding something.
