It's
back.... And this year we look forward to having
another
great time!
Hidden Hollow 2008
May 2 - 4, 2008
You asked
for it? You got it. The Hidden Hollow weekend Star Party at Warren Rupp
Observatory will be back again this year the weekend of May 2nd - 4th!
Mike Unsold
Mike is the
developer of the ImagesPlus camera control and astronomical
image processing software, which was listed as a "hot product" by
Sky & Telescope in 2004. He currently sells ImagesPlus
3.0 software through
MLUnsold Digital Imaging.
Mike became
interested in astronomy back in the 1960s when he started exploring
the solar system with a 60mm Swift refractor. This early experience
created a life long interest in science and imaging. His
professional career started in the late 1970s and includes many
years of teaching mathematics at Kent State University and software
development.
Mike will be
giving a workshop taking raw digital images and going through the
enhancing process. Anyone having imagesPlus is welcome to
bring their laptop and work with their own data. The workshop
is anticipated to last about 2 hours.
The Riverside
Telescope Makers Conference (RTMC) has hosted Mike's workshops for
the last two year, and they both sold out! Many other
organizations that Mike has worked with have had to charge
additional fees to attend his workshops, so RAS is pleased to
have Mike with us this year at Hidden Hollow, and are proud to be
able to offer this chance to work with him without charging any
additional fees.
