It's back.... And this year we look forward to having another great time! Hidden Hollow 2008 May 2-4, 2008 You asked for it? You got it. The Hidden Hollow weekend Star Party at Warren Rupp Observatory is back again this year  the weekend of May 2-4th!   Registration is now OPEN! Walk-in registrations will also be accepted. If you aren't familiar with Hidden Hollow, the cost is $40 per person, or $30 per person, if there are two or more adults in your  immediate family (Children 12 and under are free).  Included in this price is your choice of  primitive camping or lodging in one of the bunkhouses or cabins.  Please remember that the bunkhouses and cabins are also primitive - no heat & no bedding provided.  Bring your sleeping bag & pillow, and plan to dress for the weather.   As in previous years, speakers, contests, workshops, door prizes and vendors (we all love new astronomy toys) will be set up in Sky Lodge, along with tables and chairs - just right for a conversation on some of the finer points of astronomy.  Our Skylab Portable Planetarium will also be up and running.  Rainy weather?  No problem!  There's plenty of room in the lodge, and lots of things to do!  Rain or shine, we'll have a blast!   North Star Concessions will again be there for Hidden Hollow, serving your food needs 24/7 throughout the weekend.   And we've  gotten confirmations from Smart Astronomy, Tech2000, Camera Concepts & Telescope Solutions (CCTS),  Sky Stones and Tamco Inc. that they will be attending the event as vendors.   This year, we are offering group rates for clubs sending 4 or more members to Hidden Hollow.  Please contact Barb Hubal at   hubalbd@netzero.net for details.
