According to the "Strategies for Harmonization of the management of EU and Eastern Partnership", signed by 28 countries in Europe, including Ukraine, include formation of a unified educational space in the EU and Eastern Partnership. It?s European strategy provides and introduction of international student exchange programs (ISEP) and the programs of double diplomas (PDD) between major Ukrainian universities and leading universities in EU.

V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is an active member of the international process. Thus, in international student exchange programs took part in almost 1,000 people studying at university (according to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine).

The most effective is the program Erasmus Mundus, the German Academic Exchange Program DAAD, scholarship program Fulbright and Open Society Institute (Washington).
