We are pleased to invite you to participate in IX International Interdisciplinary Conference Language and Culture in Building of International Relations to be held on December 1-2, 2014 in Che?m (Poland).

The conference organizers: Department of English and American Studies, Department of Slavic Studies, Department of International Relations Studies of Institute of Modern Philology of the State School of Higher Education in cooperation with Department of Applied Linguistics of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University in Lutsk

Conference focuses areas:

• Language as a social bond in intercultural communication and contacts.

• Discourse as a manifestation of culture and sensitivity to language variety.

• Language and culture as elements fostering international relations.

• The clash between the culture of the East and the West.

• The European Union, Ukraine, Russia, and Beyond.

Materials submission deadline: October 10, 2014.

The conference materials will be published in the first issue of the annual international journal of language, culture, and politics (J?zyk, Kultura, Polityka — studium mi?dzynarodowe).
