The best workers of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University were awarded prestigious prizes for considerable achievements in improving the content and methods of the academic and educational process and their significant contribution to the scientific development of our University. The Awarding ceremony took place at the grand meeting of the Assembly of the University Academic Councils held to celebrate the 208th Anniversary of opening of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

V. N. Karazin Prizes were awarded to Senior Researcher of the Department of Apllied Electrodynamics M. V. Nesterenko.

I degree Prize was awarded to Full Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry N. O. Vodolazko.

II degree Prize was awarded to Dean of the School of Law, Full Professor T. Ye. Kahanovska and Associate Professor of the Department of Materials for Reactor Building and Physical Technologies V. H. Kirichenko.

III degree Prize was awarded to Head of the Department of Social and Economic Geography and Regional Geography, Full Professor L. M. Niemets, Full Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics I. B. Denysenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Monitoring, Management of Natural Resources and Prevention of Emergency Situations N. V. Maksymenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials for Reactor Building and Physical Technologies S. V. Lytovchenko and Associate Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation S. I. Sotnykova.

By the results of the exhibition-competition of academic literature held at the Unviersity on New Year’s Eve, prizes were awarded to the following higher school editions:

• textbook “A Course of Functional Analysis and Measure Theory” author – Associate Professor of the Department of Theory of Functions and Functional Analysis V. M. Kadets;
• basic textbook for students of higher educational institutions “Psychology” authors – Dean of the School of Psychology, Full Professor N. P. Kreidun, Head of the Department of Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy O. S. Kocharian, Associate Professor of the Department of General Psychology Ye. V. Zaika;
• Textbook “Geology and Fundamentals of Mineralogy” authors – Full Professor of the Department of Mineralogy, Petrography and Mineral Resources P. V. Zarutskyi and Associate Professor of the Department V. V. Andrieiev;
• textbook “Clinical Pharmacology” and educational aid “Modern Practice of Internal Medicine” authors – Dean of the School of Medicine, Full Professor V. M. Savchenko, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine M. I. Yabluchanskyi.
