Postgraduate Yevheniia Borhun from the School of Physics and Technology awarded a European Physical Society prize
Yevheniia Borhun, a postgraduate student at the Department of Materials for Reactor Building and Physical Technologies (her academic supervisor is Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M. O. Azarienkov), became a winner at the International conference-school in physics of plasma and controlled thermonuclear fusion Alushta-2012 that was held in September, 2012.
Yevheniia won the competition for the best poster report where her work “External magnetic field influence on the intensity and directivity diagram of UV radiation from a high-current impulse plasma diode” was awarded a European Physical Society prize.

It represents over 80,000 members and physicists through its 38 national member societies. It also annually conducts a forum covering the most recent achievements in physics. The European Physical Society issues Europhysics News, a popular journal in Physics, (6 issues per year) publishing review articles the history of establishment and development of physics as a science as well as on present-day developments in physics.
