On March 25, 2012 V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a traditional Open House. A lot of prospective university entrants took advantage of the opportunity to learn the information they are interested in about the University from the horse's mouth: majors, University admission guidelines in 2012. They could get answers to their questions as to enrollment and training at the University from the administration thereof and that of the schools and could communicate with current university students.

 At 9:00 a presentation of the University schools began at the Big Assembly Hall. University entrants could get acquainted with all the University schools and receive information leaflets with the necessary information.

 After that the University President, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vil Savbanovych Bakirov and the Dean of the School of Mechanics and Mathematics, Professor Hrihorii Mykolaiovych Zholtkevych addressed the entrants and their parents at the Big Assembly Hall.  The responsible secretary of the Admission Board, Associate Professor Olha Oleksiivna Anoschenko reported on the peculiarities of the entrance campaign of 2012.

 After the general meetings prospective university entrants visited the schools they were interested in.  The deans told them about life at their schools as well as history and majors of the schools and answered questions prospective students had.

 The School of History, in particular, held training «How to score 200 at the External Independent Assessment in History».  Candidate of History, Associate Professor Lytovchenko S.D. and Candidate of History, Associate Professor Kulikov V.O. held the meeting with entrants.
