V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is pleased to invite future students to apply for a new speciality: BS in International Relations, Social Communication and Regional Studies (educational program International Relations and Regional Studies) offered by the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business.

This program combines a comprehensive study of international relations as an academic discipline and political practice ensuring deep understanding of one or several key regions of the world.

Upon completion its graduates can engage in information, analytical, consulting, expert activities related to the peculiarities of particular countries and regions with regard to international relations, public administration in private or public organizations. They can also choose to pursue a career in research and education. They can take up positions of diplomatic representatives (ambassador) at embassies of Ukraine abroad, special missions, headquarters of Ukraine in international organizations; officers at consulates of Ukraine and international organizations; assistants at press services of foreign offices and diplomatic institutions; attaches; diplomatic agents; diplomatic messengers; experts or consultants for social and political affairs of countries/regions, political observers; interpreters/translators, guide-interpreters; lecturers at higher educational institutions, analysts of international affairs.

In the focus is foreign languages acquisition: Chinese (main foreign language) and English, German or French (second foreign language at choice). The scope of training in Chinese within this program is similar to that of an interpreter/translator.
