Nowadays the School of Chemistry is the high level of the academic staff, contemporary research and wide use of results in the educational process, equipped laboratories and lecture-rooms, cooperation with Universities and Research Institutions in the Ukraine, Russia, Europe, USA and Japan! At our School you will get the high-standard university education and profession of chemist ? the profession of the XXI century indeed!

Our History

Chemistry has been teaching at the University from the very first days. In 1864, on the initiative of the prominent chemist N.N. Beketov, the School of Physics and Mathematics was subdivided into three sections, Section of Mathematics, Section of Natural Sciences, and Section of Physics and Chemistry. In 1865 Beketov introduced an essentially new course of lectures, the course in physical chemistry ? 20 years earlier than at the universities of Western Europe and USA. In 1894 Departments of Organic, Inorganic and Analytical chemistry have appeared. Later, in 1933, the Research Institute of Chemistry has been organized at the School of Chemistry.

Nowadays our School brings together staff and students from six Departments: Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Metrology, Organic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, and Theoretical Chemistry.

Undergraduate degree programs are offered at the Bachelor and Master levels.

Undergraduate Degrees:

Organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry and chemical metrology, design of materials and chemical informatics, pharmaceutical chemistry, chemical control of the environment, physical chemistry of nonaqueous solutions, computer chemistry and molecular design.

Financial support

We have the Government scholarship program (the number of positions is limited).
