VISA INFORMATION
The following documents should be usually submited to the Russian Embassy or Consulate to obtain a Business Visa to enter Russia:
- Tourist invitation or business invitation issued by an organization authorized to invite visitors to Russia.
- Your original passport which should be valid for a minimum of six months after visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages.
- Russian visa application form, completed and signed (one or two copies depending on the country).
- One or two recent passport size photo.
- For stay exceeding 3 months, or multi entry visa, a HIV test required.
BUSINESS INVITATION DETAILS
In accordance with Russian laws, scientific organizations cannot invite any visitors to Russia. An official
business invitation must be only issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry or its regional representatives or by an appropriate Russian Federation Migration Service branch. Such an invitation letter must contain: official seal and legal address of the host institution, document registration number and date of registration, signature and name of the official authorized to invite foreigners to Russia, purpose of visit, dates of stay, names of persons invited. For a multiple entry visa you are required to submit the original invitation; for single and double entry visas copies of invitations in particular cases may be accepted, though the Embassy's immigration officer may ask you to present the original invitation.
HOW TO GET A BUSINESS INVITATION
If you need a business visa to enter Russia please do the following:
- Fill the application form and send it via e-mail to LOC: bogachev@sci.lebedev.ru;
- Attach a scanned copy of your passport.
ATTENTION:
To get an official invitation in time, please sent us the application form as soon as possible. The deadline is November 5, 2013.
The other possibility is to get a tourist invitation.
