Computer Ephemeris. Tables for transformation from sidereal to universal time scale. Explanations.

This page contains three little tables headed Hours Minutes Seconds respectively. Each the table have two columns: first of them is input column where time in whole time units of sidereal time is given, and second of them is output column where hours:minutes:seconds of universal time is presented. To form result it is necessary to read from table 'hours' output number of hours:minutes:seconds when input number is number of sidereal time hours. Then repeat such the procedure for table 'minutes' for minutes of sidereal time and for table 'seconds' for seconds of sidereal time. After all three numbers must be added together to form correct result. If number of seconds isn't integer some little interpolation between neighbouring numbers is necessary.

Example: transform 02^h12^m22.00^s from sidereal to universal time.

Answer: 02^h as an input to the first table gives 01^h59^m40.34^s as an output, 12^m as input to the second table gives 11^m58.03^s as an output and 22.00^s as an input to the third table gives 21.92^s as an output. Summa of all these numbers is 02^h12^m00.29^s. This is the result.
