Abstract

Imaging spectrometer for atmosphere and ionosphere spectral investigation consist the static Michelson interferometer and CCD camera. The prototype of the onboard CCD camera for the spectrometer used the Toshiba 2048 pixels CCD linear array (TCD 1201D) with FPGA-based controller. The controller is building on ACTEL A1020A field programmable gates array with maximum data rate 40 MHz and can be used with linear and area array CCD. The devices support full frame and frame transfer CCD with maximum size 4096x4096 pixels and system is capable of binning from 1 to 16 or all row and also unbinned operation.  The controller can be configured to support a particular CCD by proper setting of the DIP switch or by program. We also present small size board the analog signal chain with correlated double sampling for CCD signal processing.
