On Saturday afternoon, 3 April 2009, Steve Roche gave a talk in Dungarvan library - Introduction to Astronomy and Astrophotography, which went really well - we had just under 20 people attending. Steve talked about the photos he'd taken (which were on display in the libray), the equipment he uses and getting started in astrophotography.
After the talk we had to take down our exhibition, which had been on display in the library all week, (the library was closing but Steve was still answering questions on his talk!) We had excellent feedback with quite a bit of interest from local schools.
It sounds like everyone who took part around the country had great interest from the public, it was a very enjoyable experience for all who took part. I'd just like to say a huge thanks to Deirdre Kelleghan as she is a major force behind 100 Hours in Ireland, her enthusiasm is infectious and I hope she realises how much all her hard work is greatly appreciated.
