Astronomy Evening Classes for Beginners

Astronomy Ireland have designed and developed astronomy Evening Classes for the general public. Aimed at beginners, the classes are running in 10 locations nationwide.

    These exciting and hugely popular classes are suitable for people of all ages and all abilities and are specifically aimed at beginners - there is no complex maths or scientific data involved. The classes will delve into the exciting world of astronomy and tell you everything you ever wished to know:
     
    Learn about the pioneers of astronomy and their turbulent history,
     
    The mysterious world of dark energy, dark matter and black holes,
     
    How our Solar System was formed,
     
    How long before the Sun will die,
     
    Learn how a telescope works and much, more.
     
     
    The course fee is 180euro (130euro for members) and includes membership to Astronomy Ireland worth 48euro. If you sign up now you will avail of the current special offer for International Year of Astronomy (IYA) and get 3 months membership FREE.
