Prof. Mike Redfern has been interested in high resolution astronomy (high spatial resolution and high time resolution imaging), particularly in development of the instrumentation. Currently, he has a unique very high time resolution Imaging Stokes Polarimeter (called GASP) which will be used for polarimetric mapping of pulsars, other rotating magnetised neutron stars, and slower objects such as magnetised CVs (polars).
