With the occasion of the National Drawing Day, on 23 May 2009, Deirdre Kelleghan chose Dunsink Observatory as a venue for her Deadly Moon Drawing Workshop. Children from the Russian community in Ireland joined guide members from Walkinstown, in Dublin, to learn about drawing moons.
National Drawing Day was held in conjunction with The National Gallery of Ireland. "My thanks to Hilary O'Donnell at DIAS for her support in setting up this fun day at the observatory" - says Deirdre.
