International Year of Astronomy in Ireland

As part of the Light Pollution symposium at the Market Place Theatre, Armagh, on Friday 18 September 2009, boys and girls from Mount St. Catherine's Primary School, Armagh participated in an inspirational Astro-art workshop led by Armagh Rhymers (Dara Vallely, Peter Shortall and Steve Lally), staff from Mount St. Catherine's Primary School (Anne Hart, Brenda Campbell and Briege Delaney) and astronomer Miruna Popescu, coordinator of the International Year of Astronomy in Ireland.
