The Bubble and M52 from Dublin skies
This week's image is another sharp and beautiful photo taken from Balbriggan Observatory in Dublin by the skillful astrophotographer Carl O'Beirns:
"Well 10/11th of August turned out to be a very nice night. I decided to have a break from Jupiter, and set up the WO110MM scope for some deep sky imaging. My target was the Bubble Nebula. The image was 55 x 5min exposures 4 hours 35 minutes total. Darks was 24 x 5 minutes. I'm hoping to get the color soon for this image but with the weather in this country it could be this time next year before I get the color. On an up note The Perseid's where very active also while the telescope was doing it's thing I was on the deck chair looking up at the beautiful Milkyway while the Perseid's where whizzing overhead."
