Armagh Observatory reports that September was wetter, slightly duller and somewhat warmer than average.
Rainfall amounted to 90.8 mm (3.57 inches), that is, about 19% more than the monthly average. The wettest day was the 30th when 14.2 mm fell.
The number of hours of sunshine was 91.7, that is, about 12% less than the average.
The mean monthly temperature was 14.2 degrees Celsius (57.5 degrees Fahrenheit), which is about 1.5 degrees Celsius above average. The warmest day occurred on the 28th with a maximum temperature of 22.8 deg C.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
