Armagh Observatory reports that July was wetter and slightly warmer than average.
Rainfall amounted to 122.2 mm (4.81 inches), that is, about 82% more than the average for July. Over 25 mm of rain fell on each of the two days 15th and 21st.
The mean monthly temperature was 16.0 degrees Celsius (60.7 degrees Fahrenheit), that is, one degree C above the average for July. The maximum temperature recorded was 22.8 degrees C on the 1st. The minimum air temperature was 6.8 C (12th).
The number of hours of sunshine was 113.5, that is, about 12% below average.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
