The mean monthly temperature was 5.3 degrees Celsius (41.6 degrees Fahrenheit). This is slightly cooler than we have recently become accustomed to, that is the average of the last ten years, but warmer than the long-term average since 1795. The maximum temperature was 14.2 degrees C on the 23rd, and the lowest air temperature was -2.9 C on 8th. There were eleven nights with grass frost and eight with air frost.
The number of hours of sunshine was 59.2, that is, almost 10% less than the monthly average.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
